We had many great years behind us, and here are
a few highlights for those considering us for 2016!
- SC Midlands' allegiance and support of USA Volleyball is prominent! We are PROUDLY returning to USA Volleyball and the Palmetto Region in 2016! SC Midlands chooses to support the Palmetto region because it is operated by USA Volleyball, the official governing body of volleyball in the United States. As a non-profit organization, USA Volleyball in each Region helps to support the US Olympic Teams. We are proud of standing by our Region of the United States, and for vowing to make our Region Stronger and Stronger each year! Join us and contribute to making United States Volleyball #1 in the World!
- SC Midlands teams are all automatically invited into the officially sanctioned Palmetto Region USA State Championships! This makes it a win-win, as it is a favorite tournament for many every year! Our invitation means the privilege and opportunity to compete in one championship featuring 30 plus clubs in the state. SC Midlands teams are afforded this invitation because of our affiliation with our United States Region.
- Let's shoot for Indianapolis! In 2016, SC Midlands National Elite and Performance Elite teams will compete for bids to attend Nationals in Indiana! We want you to be a part of this! Almost every division in USA Nationals is a qualifying ONLY event! SC Midlands is a club that offers National Elite teams the chance to attend BOTH the USA Junior National Championship (MUST qualify) and/or AAU Nationals if we don't qualify! Come out for SC Midlands for a chance to be on a winning team that drives to Indiana!
- In 2014, SC Midlands won 3 bids to the USA Junior National Championship and attended in Minneapolis, Minnesota. in 2015, SC Midlands won another 2 bids. Our girls had the opportunity to see Russ Rose, Hugh McCutcheon, David Shoji, and other volleyball coaching legends. Join us and help us get to New Orleans! We had to work hard to get there. We had to budget really smart, but in the end, we made it! Five SC Midlands in the past two years have made it to the USA Junior National Championship in Minneapolis! Now we have AWESOME memories for life!
- We boast ONE OF A KIND coaches with a variety of District Championships, Championships, State Championships, and Coach of the Year Awards. Additionally, we work hard at our VERY unique coaching styles as we develop programs that make sense for our volleyball community! We have trained 1,000's of elementary, middle, and high school athletes, many of them now playing college ball, and/or even coaching in a variety of settings including
- in DI schools.
- We are a competitive College Prep Club that takes athletes to the next level! Click here to see what we have in store for 2016! Each year we attend either the USA National Championship or AAU. The goal is to give our athletes exposure and tough competition. Click here to see some of our previous alumni. This includes: Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, Indoor Volleyball, Sand Volleyball, and most recently a boy who trained with us and is now playing with Erskine College. Many college players from our area have played SOME or ALL of their years at Plex!
- 2014 Regional Championship Finishes: 14U 1st Place in Open, 15U 1st Place in Open, 16U 2nd Place in Open, and top 4 finishes in 3 other divisions. This is phenomenal considering the 30 plus clubs that competed across the different ages.
- 2014 Four athletes selected for USA High Performance.
- 10 Consecutive appearances at the AAU National Championships.
- 2013 Three division championships in the 18's Division.
- 2013 Five athletes from our teams selected for USA High Performance Volleyball Camps and Teams.
- 2013 AAU National Championships 5th place out of 103 teams.
- 2013 AAU Nationals All-Star Peyton McDonald, the only 14U Player from the state of South Carolina to receive the award in 2013.
- 2012 Sent 7 teams to the AAU National Championships, the largest number of teams ever sent from a Columbia based club.
- 2012 Two division champions at the AAU National Championships.
- 2012 AAU Super Regionals 14U Champions.
- 2012 Three Gold finishes in the Shamrock Festival in Roanoke, Virginia.
- 2011 Asics Northeast National Qualifier 14U American Champions in Baltimore, Maryland.
- 2011 Set a trend as the first Midlands club to introduce and require the extended championship season for all National Elite teams in the club.
- 2011 Attended the USA Volleyball Junior Olympic National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 2010 Attended the USA Volleyball Junior Olympic National Championships in Reno, Nevada.
- 2010 Midlands was the only club from the area to have an 18's teams finish in the Top Four. Our second team was tied for 5th, and we had another team in the top 10.
- 2009 AAU National Championships Division Champions.
- 2005 Host club for the what became the 2005 USA Open Men and Women's Open Gold Champions. Our club serving as hosts, coaches, and trainers.
- 2005 Two junior athletes from our club earned National Championships as members of the USA Open Women's Gold National Championship team.
- Set a standard as the first USA Volleyball club from the Midlands to win a Junior Olympic National Bid and attend the USA Junior Olympic National Championships, 2003.

The Women's National Team won Gold on Oct. 12, it's first Gold Medal of one of the three volleyball majors. Team USA's women took down China in four sets, 27-25, 25-20, 16-25, 26-24!
