Stefani Koelbel

Koelbel started coaching with SC Midlands in 2016. Prior to that she was a Mizuno Head Coach over at Magnum where she led the team to a regional championship. Prior to coaching down south she has coached many years back in her home town Long Island, New York. In 2014, Koelbel was named the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Iona College, a Division 1 school located in New Rochelle, NY. As the assistant Koelbel aided the head coach with recruiting, practice plans, statistical tracking for opponents’ hitting tendencies and all defensive charts, and assisted in travel plans. She was in charge of defensive systems, film analysis, and scouting.

Prior to coaching for two years at Iona College, Koelbel coached one year as the volunteer assistant for Rider University another team in the MAAC Conference. Her club coaching career started back in 2010, where she coached at Club Ace Long Island out of Hofstra University for 5 years. She held the title of head coach for teams; 14-1 (2x), 15-1, 15-2, 16-1, 18-1’s, where each year her teams have finished in the top tier of their region. Koelbel has also coached many clubs including, YMCA World Training Center, Adelphi, and Iona.

Koelbel began her volleyball career as an undergrad at Molloy College. She was the starting libero for all four years, where she currently holds the school’s career records in service aces, digs, and digs per set. Koelbel received her bachelor’s degree in professional communications with a minor in psychology in December of 2013.
