Optimal Performance Training (OPT)
Performance Training with Dr. Mike Armstrong
Begins Sunday December 8th

National Elite Teams will participate in Optimal Performance Training (OPT).  These sessions will be conducted by Dr. Mike Armstrong and will focus on enhancing performance through strength,speed, & agility.  Coach Armstrong stresses the need for a structured strength and conditioning program for athletes to decrease the potential for injury and to maximize performance. Despite skill level, maximum performance in volleyball is contingent upon  great agility, balance, speed and power.  For your convenience, we have tried to schedule OPT to correspond with practice days, but it will mean coming earlier or staying later, and may also mean that a few teams will have a short break before practice.  Whenever possible, we have split sessions to keep the quality of training high.

    Sunday OPT
  • The first OPT Sunday will be on December 7th.  
  • If you have the 5-7 Sunday practice, you will stay until 7:45 to train (14N, 15N, 16P).
  • If you have the 7-9 Sunday practice, you will come in at 6:20 to train (16N, 17N, 18N).
    Wednesday OPT
  • The first OPT Wednesday will be on December 10th.  
  • The following teams have OPT on Wednesdays at 6 PM (16N, 17N, 18N).
  • The following teams have OPT on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM (14N, 15N, 16P).
